With the regulations in effect, Hayward can no longer acquire this motor but wishes to continue to support the field by providing a solution for customers in need of a replacement motor for their 1.5HP pumps. In order to provide this support, and ensure the trade still has access to a replacement motor, Hayward has decided to use remaining inventory of the SP1615Z1MEG 2HP motor in both the 1.5HP (SPX1610Z1M) and 2HP (SPX1615Z1M) replacement motor SKUs. The 2HP SP1615Z1MEG motor is compatible with the 1.5HP Super Pump and MaxFlo models and, when used with the 1.5HP wet-ends, will perform the same as the previous 1.5HP motor (current draw, energy consumption, water flow rate). Please note that once these 2HP motors are used up, the replacement single speed motor SKUs will be discontinued and customers will need to shift to the equivalently sized XE power-ends in the future.
