Hayward HL-CHEM Sense and Dispense Kit

Add fully integrated chemistry automation to your pool. The HL-CHEM is an ORP and pH sensing kit offered as an accessory for all Hayward OmniLogic® pool automation controls.

The HL-CHEM continuously tests your pool's sanitizer and pH levels. The OmniLogic uses those readings to automatically generate the correct amount of chlorine and dispense the right amount of pH reducer. Together they control both sanitization and pH balance.

The kit includes two pigtails (120 VAC and 240 VAC) for connecting a pH-reducing device that uses a line cord receptacle, such as a peristaltic pump or solenoid valve (not included). For easy integration, Hayward offers the AQL-CHEM2 (120 VAC) and AQL-CHEM2-240 (240 VAC) CO2 dispense kits. They plug into the pigtail and lower the pool's pH by injecting CO2 into the water.

What's Included

• Professional-grade ORP probe: Samples water from the filtration system and reports the oxidation-reduction potential (redox) to the OmniLogic. ORP directly measures sanitizer activity and bacteriological water quality instead of chemical residual levels. Because pH, TDS (total dissolved solids) and other factors don't skew it, it gives a more accurate picture of chlorine effectiveness and water quality.
• Professional-grade pH probe: Samples water from the filtration system and reports its acidity to the OmniLogic. Paired with a Hayward AQL-CHEM2 or another pH dispensing device, it keeps your pool's pH balanced.
• Probe cell: Holds both probes and provides a spot for water collection and testing. Two hoses connect it to the supply and return sides of the filtration system. Mount it directly on the OmniLogic, or remotely within reach of the probe wiring.
• pH dispense pigtails: Plug-in receptacles for the AQL-CHEM2, AQL-CHEM2-240 or other pH dispensing devices (peristaltic pumps, solenoid valves, etc.) controlled by the OmniLogic.
• Installation hardware: All tubing, tubing connectors and mounting hardware needed to complete the installation.

Compatibility

• Compatible with the Hayward OmniLogic pool control.
• An AQL-CL chemistry kit is required with the OmniLogic for automatic chlorine generation.
