The Hayward AquaPod 2.0 AQL2-POD2 waterproof wireless remote provides touchscreen control of compatible Hayward pool and spa automation systems from your home, poolside, or in the water. Its sealed, over-molded design, fully rechargeable battery, and horizontal floating design make it convenient to use around the pool or spa.

The large 4.3-inch touchscreen makes pool and spa functions easy to view, even at night. Control lights, heaters, and other features supported by your connected automation system, including chemistry automation and Universal ColorLogic custom light shows when supported by the installed equipment. This programmable touchscreen model replaces the AQL2-POD.

Compatibility and requirements

Hayward's AquaPod 2.0 manual lists the following compatible controls and software requirements:

  • OnCommand: compatible with all OnCommand pool controls.
  • ProLogic: requires an AQL2-BASE-RF base station running software revision r3.00 or higher.
  • AquaLogic: requires control software revision r2.60 or higher and an AQL2-BASE-RF base station running software revision r3.00 or higher.
  • AquaPlus: requires control software revision r2.60 or higher and an AQL2-BASE-RF base station running software revision r3.00 or higher.

An AQL2-BASE-RF base station must be installed on the pool control to communicate with this remote. AquaPod 2.0 will not communicate with the older AQL-BASE-RF base station. Verify your control model, control software, and base-station revision before ordering.
