This Hayward Vac Lock fitting is for attaching your suction side automatic pool cleaner to an existing dedicated suction line. It is an important safety item because if the pool cleaner hose is removed from the wall of the pool and the pump is still providing suction, a dangerous situation can exist! The spring loaded door on this product snaps shut to eliminate suction at that point. When in use, it actually "locks" on to the hose. This fitting is manufactured by Hayward Pool Products to high quality standards. It threads directly into a dedicated wall port with 1-1/2" female threads.
